Lip tie treatments in Queensland

Lip tie is a condition that is present from birth. The frenulum which is a band of membrane behind the upper lip and maybe short, thick and too tight. This tethers the upper lip to the gum behind it, restricting movement, which is needed for breast feeding, eating and speech.

The condition varies in severity and may improve over time.

The treatment is simple, effective and relatively painless. It involves the doctor using sterile scissors to snip the frenulum. This can be performed on the same day as a consultation in our consulting rooms.
